Lauren and Oindril celebrated their wedding at Chateau de Champlatreux, a beautiful historic venue located just outside Paris.
Earlier this year, my team and I had the pleasure of planning a two-day destination wedding in Paris for Lauren and Oindril.
The weekend began with a Marie Antoinette-inspired welcome party in the heart of Paris, before the celebration moved to the beautiful Chateau de Champlatreux, just an hour outside the city.
With guests traveling from the United States, the couple wanted their wedding to feel like a true French experience. Elegant, immersive, and full of those little moments that make a destination wedding in France so special.
After months of planning and designing this celebration together, I’m excited to finally share below a glimpse of Lauren and Oindril’s wedding day at Chateau de Champlatreux.
Planning your own destination wedding in France and looking for a château wedding planner specialist?
Chateau de Champlatreux is located about an hour from central Paris and less than 30 minutes from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, which makes it especially convenient for international guests traveling to France.
Built in the 18th century, the chateau has a long facade and beautifully balanced proportions. The kind of architecture that immediately catches your eye when you arrive. At the back, the gardens open onto a large perspective with a fountain, which is why it works so well for ceremonies and outdoor dinners.
For couples planning a destination wedding in France, it offers a rare combination: easy access from Paris while still offering a true chateau experience.

From the beginning, Lauren had a strong vision for the wedding. As a true francophile, she’s always been drawn to historic venues and the elegance of 18th-century French style. The idea was to blend that authentic setting with more modern and sculptural design elements.
Chateau de Champlatreux felt like the perfect place for that contrast. The architecture is very classic and timeless, which allows bolder design choices to stand out beautifully.

Lauren and Oindril decided to hold the ceremony at the front of the chateau, with the facade as a backdrop, keeping the gardens at the back of the château as a surprise for later in the evening.
I loved how it allowed the day to unfold gradually, with each moment revealing a new part of the venue for their guests.
For the ceremony design, we worked closely with Atelier Mimoza to imagine a statement monochrome installation, playing with volume, texture and layers of white florals.
Lauren looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle in her Kim Kassas gown, a subtle nod to the 18th-century inspiration behind the celebration.

After the ceremony, guests were invited inside the chateau for cocktail hour.
Champagne was served as they explored the grand salons, surrounded by chandeliers, gilded moldings and historic paintings. The perfect moment to enjoy the atmosphere of the château and a taste of the French art de vivre.

Dinner took place in the gardens at the back of the chateau, with the magnificent fountain as a backdrop. As the evening settled in, guests enjoyed a refined and intimate candlelit dinner under the stars.

After dinner came the fireworks, lighting up the chateau and the gardens in the most spectacular way.
Guests then made their way back into the salons where the real party began. Music, dancing, champagne flowing late into the night.
